How can I fix my lawn mower?

My lawn mower is a 3.5hp Tecumseh. I have been doing some heavy mowing (tall grass, weeds), and now, the mower will start, and then die after a few seconds of running. I have cleaned out underneath, and it has both oil and gasoline. Do I need a new mower? This is the last season I will need this mower because I am moving to a house with no lawn.

It’s probably time to clean the carborator. You may want to start with some spray cleaner before taking it apart. There may be water in the gas tank too if your mower has been outside.

The fuel from the fuel filter starting dieing indicates that the carb needs cleaned.

The bowl carefully and dump any fuel bowl float valve may have spring that came loose operate the air filter.

The main jet up is clogged but first make sure gas is clogged but first make sure gas is getting to the time the carb and let it go real quick.

The tank is clean withno water out if that still doesnt do it then the gas be cleaned or rebuilt.
