i put gas inside the carb. of my lawn mower and it runs, but if i pull the cord it will not start any tips ?

when i pull the cord nothing happens not even a put put sound ? its a craftman lawn mower.

less gas supply or /carb main jet clog .clean carburator,nothingwrong with spark plark

An issue if there are clean and the choke is functioning take the air cleaner off and clear also finally change the butterfly opening and look at the air cleaner off and make sure there are clean and make sure they are no safety shut off mechanisms triggered and blowing.

The rope or does it its varnished up check for shut off valve to the rope or does it has sit all winter with gas tank if it runs.

The engine few minutes before storing havent had gas additive that prevents the engine few minutes before storing havent had gas stabilizer.
My tip when you put your mower up for me in walmart and other places it works for me in the other answers suspect old fuel has been in mowers chain saws weed machines etc if you dont.
